7th Annual Treasure Life Golf Tournament

The 7th Annual Treasure Life Golf Tournament is always held on the last Friday of May. This year that Friday was extra special. We not only gathered to play golf and raise funds for cardiac children we celebrated Evan Ty’s birthday.

The day before was cold and dreary but when the sun rose in the morning on May 30th warmth came with it, from the sun and from everyone’s hearts at the Coloniale Golf Course as they arrived for the 8:00 am start. Everyone enjoyed the golf, the silent auction, the meal and the knowledge that their presence makes a difference to so many children who need it. This was reinforced by a special thank you from Dr Yashu Coe, Cardiologist at the University of Alberta Hospital..
We also heard from Kaylee Rowe who spoke about her 5 open heart surgeries and sharing her Bead Chain which bead by bead detailed her courageous journey during the first 15 years of her life. Thank you for sharing Kaylee!

 

Thank you to all of the golfers, wonderful volunteers and generous sponsors, many of whom have been participating for all 7 years. If you were a first timer we look forward to seeing you again next year. This year we raised approximately $38,000.00 which will go a long way in helping our cardiac kids!
